Why I do this work
Movement has always been part of who I am. In my youth, I trained and competed in basketball at an elite level – until a serious knee injury changed everything. Losing the ability to move freely was heartbreaking. But the recovery process, and the hours I spent in physiotherapy, sparked something unexpected: a deep respect for the body’s ability to heal, and a desire to help others do the same.
That experience led me to physiotherapy. I began my career working in Sweden’s national health system and later specialised in Sports Medicine – a natural path, given my athletic background.
But it was a chance to work with pregnant women experiencing pelvic pain that truly shifted my focus. Seeing how the right support could ease their pain and help them stay active during pregnancy was a turning point. I began to understand how overlooked women’s bodies are – especially during and after pregnancy.
Later, while working abroad in Qatar, I saw this gap in care even more clearly. When I returned home, I started collaborating with midwives and quickly realised that postpartum care was an even more neglected space. So many women were left to manage pain, dysfunction, and disconnection from their bodies – alone.
I knew I had to do more. I began a second specialisation in Women’s Health and completed a second Master’s degree in 2023.
Today, I bring together my knowledge in sports and women’s health to help women move with confidence – during pregnancy, after birth, and throughout motherhood.
Because your body matters. Your strength matters. And you deserve support that sees the whole of you.
